Jeffrey Manufacturing Company Collection
Description: Wood apron conveyor made by the Jeffrey Manufacturing Company, Columbus, Ohio in use at the Taggert Oswego Bag Company, Oswego, New Jersey, 1928. Standard wood apron conveyors were made up of two strands of chain. Wooden boards, called flights, were bolted between the chain and carried the materials. The conveyor in this photograph is using roller chains for heavier loads. This conveyor moved 60 feet per minute. View on Ohio Memory.
