Description: Mine fan made by the Jeffrey Manufacturing Company, Columbus, Ohio, November 7, 1907. In the background are Jeffrey factory buildings. Mine fans were used to force fresh air into coal mines to provide fresh air for miners to breath and to dissipate dangerous gasses.
