Description: The caption reads: " R.K. LeBlond Machine Tool works at Oakley Cin. Ohio," Richard LeBlond was born in 1864 in Cincinnati, went to school there, but dropped out to apprentice at the Franklin Type Foundry. He continued his education at the Ohio Mechanics Institute in the evenings. After spending time in St Louis and Rhode Island, he returned to Cincinnati in 1887 and with two employees, he began producing type molds, gauges and small tools.
