Description: The photograph shows a view of the green of the eighth hole of Ottawa Park Municipal Golf Course. The Ottawa Park Golf Course is located in Toledo, Ohio. The course was designed by Sylvanus Pierson Jermain and established in 1899. Ottawa Park has the distinction of being the oldest public golf course west of New York City. Ottawa Park claimed another first in 1922 when it hosted the first USGA National Public Links Championship. In 1977 many renovations and upgrades to Ottawa's greens, tees, bunkers and irrigation were completed by Toledo's own world famous golf course architect Arthur Hills. Today, because of those renovations, Ottawa Park is known for its fine greens and overall excellence. View on Ohio Memory.
