Description: Reverse reads: "Swimming pool below dam at Hinckley Reservoir, Cleveland Metropolitan Park System. Photographed by Henry P. Boynton- 1940." Several people swim and play at the pond near Hinckley Reservoir in the Cleveland Metropolitan Park System in 1940. There is a dam behind the swimmers and people standing on shore. The reservoir is now known as Hinckley Reservation, but is still operated by the Cleveland Metropolitan Park System. The majority of the reservation is made up of 90-acre Hinckley Lake, which in addition to swimmers and sunbathers, is enjoyed by ice fishermen and skaters in the winter months. View on Ohio Memory.
