Springfield High School, located on South Limestone St., designed after the Congressional Library at Washington, D.C. and completed in 1909." This is a photograph of Springfield High School in downtown Springfield, Ohio. The school building was completed in 1909 and is located at 700 South Limestone Street. It was modeled after the Congressional Library and is known for its large white dome. In 1960, the school was split into two high schools, North and South, when Springfield's population continued to grow. The building is still in use today for administrative offices.
