Judson Harmon home   Save
Ohio Guide Photographs
Description: Reverse reads "Home of Judson Harmon, 31 Main Street, Newtown" The address number 31 can be seen in the photograph, to the left of the door. The home at 31 Main Street was that of Judson Harmon, 45th Governor of Ohio and United States Attorney General under President Cleveland. There is another photo, with a contradictory description on the reverse - falsely stating that this is the home of Dr. John L. Richmond, which is located at 29 Main Street in Newtown, Ohio. The home is described as being a plain two story gray frame house. Dr. Richmond performed the first professional cesarean section in the United States, in the house in 1827. View on Ohio Memory.
