A card is punched for each person enumerated. Picture No. 1 shows the automatic electric key punch in operation. This machine is used to punch coded information on the cards. Twenty-six key punches were used to punch some 575,000 cards. Photo by W.P.A. Photographer. Federal Project No. 1 (Writers') 7-6-36. Cincinnati, Ohio." View on Ohio Memory.
