Ohio Guide Photographs
Description: Original description reads: "Cinci., O., Sept. 1937 University of Cinci. Engineering Quadrangle." The Engineering Quadrangle comprises the grassy commons linking Baldwin Hall, Swift Hall, and the Chemistry Building. Originally completed in 1911, the engineering building was renamed Baldwin Hall in 1930 in memory of Cincinnati publisher Francis Howard Baldwin, who left a large bequest in trust to the university. The Chemistry Building became the second structure in the quadrangle upon its completion in 1916. Swift Hall, completed in 1926, is the third building of the engineering quadrangle.
