Ohio Guide Photographs
Description: "Site of the Mission House 1772-1782" Near New Philadelphia in Tuscarawas County is a partial reconstruction of an 18th-century Delaware Indian mission. The Ohio Historical Society acquired the property in 1923 and reconstructed the site from 1927 to 1930. Today Gnadenhuetten is marked by a 37-foot-high monument and a small museum, along with a reconstructed cabin and a cooper's shop. View on Ohio Memory.
